More College World Series and Foodie Finds

Here is a little update on activities thus far.

Always get Runza as soon as we get into town <3 <3

Tailgating downtown next to the stadium on a beautiful, but hot day.

Upstream is one of the local breweries located in the Market Square in downtown Omaha. The falafel sandwich was awesome, and it came with extra hummus and hot sauce! Beers were great too!!

The slides are infamous in downtown Omaha. So much fun!!

Some College World Series goodies.

Hit up the humidor / bar, Havana Garage. Great drinks and cigars, but watch out for their prices! This $9 margarita with house made margarita mix definitely hit the spot on a hot day, but I wouldn't say it was worth $9.

Curry fries were pretty amazing. We all got the Kabob sandwich. It was a lot of food!!

Amsterdam was an awesome little late night food spot! Loved this mural they had painted on the wall!!

The next day we hit up Big Mama's Kitchen which was actually featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It was an adventure to find this place because it is located in an old abandoned school. But once we got there, it was soooo worth it!!!  Just look for the yellow sign!

Big Mama's cranberry sun tea was phenomenal!!!

I have never had a better oven fried chicken!!! I chose mac n cheese as the side. So delish!!!

They also had ice cream! So we tried the red velvet and the green tomato raisin pie flavors. Sounds weird, but the green tomato raisin pie tasted just like apple pie! So good!

On Tuesday we decided to take it easy and get our minds off the Spurs game that was to take place that night. We hit up Stella's in Bellevue, outside of Omaha. They are known for their Stellanator Challenge. Amazing food, and a great beer selection too!! Then we went and saw This is the End which was hilarious!!!!

Hand cut french fries, sweet potato waffle fries and onion rings! All delicious!!!

Just look at that burger!!!! This may be one of the best burgers I have EVER eaten! It was that good!!!

It has been an eventful week thus far. Can't wait to share more of our adventures in Omaha!

Peace.Love.Lauryn
